Achievement 1 is our first level where the student will learn how to be comfortable in the water. This class is designed for school-aged students who have not had formal swimming lessons.
To pass this level the student must demonstrate the following:
Achievement 2 is our second school-aged achievement level where the student will continue to develop their comfort and safety in the water. To join this class the student will have already successfully completed Achievement 1. If the student is new to The Little Swim School, an assessment will be required, as the class requires the students in this class to be confident in the water.

Achievement 3 is the third level in our school-aged swim classes. At this level, we will begin to introduce skills such as freestyle and backstroke and perfect previously learnt skills such as torpedoes. Students will be comfortable enough to swim independently and should only need teacher assistance when correcting skills.

Achievement 4 is the fourth level in our school-aged classes. At this stage students will begin to understand buoyancy and why their bodies move the way they do in water. We will begin to focus on side breathing with our freestyle and work on perfecting our backstroke. Students will be able to swim along the bottom of our pool and scull on their front and back.
To pass this level the student must demonstrate the following:
Achievement 5 is the fifth level in our school-aged swimming lessons. At this stage students will be mastering their side breathing in freestyle and backstroke, we will also start swimming a little bit further. Teachers will also begin to introduce “frog kick” which opens up students to multiple new skills/strokes.

Achievement 6 is the final level in our school-aged swimming lessons. At this stage students will continue mastering their freestyle and backstroke skills, we will also start swimming a little bit further. Teachers will also begin to introduce breaststroke and survival backstroke.
